A Season of New Beginnings

(Please forward to colleagues interested in practicing in Canada)

Spring – A Season of New Beginnings in Canada!

Spring in Canada

Spring is an amazing time in Canada for the new life that we see all around us. The lush, green landscapes replace snow and ice. Mountain climbing, trail hiking and simple beachside walks become a priority for Canadians. The mountains are resplendent with wildflowers, blooming cherry blossom trees line the streets along with thousands of brightly coloured tulips, crocuses, and daffodils.

The wildlife give birth to their young in Spring

Deer in Canada

Deer: A doe with her fawns.

Swans: A pen with her cygnets

Bears: A sow with her cub.

There is a huge difference in how we enjoy Spring across Canada. Boating is a passion for British Columbians. Hiking the Rocky Mountains is loved in Alberta. There are 250 golf courses in Saskatchewan, more per capita than anywhere in the world. Manitobans open up their lakeside cottages. Ontario and Quebec residents enjoy maple syrup festivals where they can literally tap a maple tree and eventually it becomes mouthwatering fudge and other delicacies. In the Maritimes the Spring thaw causes icebergs to float past and the start of lobster season.

Work-Life Balance

Is it time to enjoy life?

As the senior physician recruiter at Canada Medical Careers, I speak with many physicians who have a common complaint, especially physicians from the UK. This common complaint is the lack of a work-life balance. I hear stories of inefficient appointment schedules, never getting home before 7 or 8 pm, of massive amounts of admin work, and no time for a growing family.

A primary reason that physicians move to Canada is for the lifestyle. Most family physicians work an eight-hour day with plenty of time left over to spend with their families. Of course, if you want to increase your wealth, you can work many more hours. However, physicians with families often choose to experience new activities with their families. I love to hear about parents now able to have time to hike to a lake, rent a cottage, go fishing, take a simple forest walk, or camping.

We Pay Your Immigration Fees

Canadian money

When you plan your move to Canada, we pay up to $6,000 of your immigration legal fees. We do this so that you don’t get discouraged by the process. There are so many scoundrels out there that will take your money and you will either have great delays or not immigrate at all. The Canadian government regulates legitimate immigration counsellors but unfortunately there are still some who try and operate outside of the law.

At CanadaMedicalCareers.ca we want your immigration to go smoothly. You will have enough details to handle without any problems with your immigration. We work with only the largest and best law firms.

Physicians Apply

Trouble Completing Your PhysiciansApply.ca Account?

As recruiters, we discovered that many physicians have difficulty supplying their information this online service. A simple error, like not scanning all four corners of a document can cause rejection. Which documents do you have notarized? How do you submit your documents?

We have created an explanatory video that is yours FREE, just by asking. Contact [email protected] to receive your link!

If you are serious about practicing medicine in Canada the first thing you should do is open an account with PhysiciansApply.ca. It is an online portal operated under the auspices of the Medical Council of Canada (similar to the GMC in the UK). Every doctor coming to Canada must have an account. This is where your credentials must be verified. These credentials include your passport, medical degrees and more. Every province and territory of Canada has a regulatory authority to handle physician licensing and these authorities (Colleges) will need to access your PhysiciansApply.ca account before you can be licensed in Canada.

Don’t wait! Some documents can be verified quickly, and others may take some time, especially if you attended medical school in a country that is slow to respond to inquiries from Canada.

If you are an IMG, licensing in Canada as a physician simply does not happen without a PhysiciansApply.ca account.

MRCGP and Family Practice Exams in Canada
